Liturgy turns Classical with orchestral Mass

America is not famously known for its beautiful churches, but when Catholics from Canada make road trips to the U.S., they often return captivated and genuinely impressed by the churches they have seen.

One such church not to be missed is St. Agnes, located just off the interstate highway in St. Paul, Minn. Be sure to visit for the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass, an experience that is nothing short of unforgettable.

‘Alma Mater: Music From The Vatican’

The album, Alma Mater: Music From The Vatican, featuring the voice of Pope Benedict XVI, was officially launched today at a press conference held at the Palazzo Sentorio in Rome for the world’s media.

Alma Mater is an enchanting blend of Lauretan Litanies and Marian popular chants with eight original pieces of modern classical music. What makes this release especially unique is that this is the very first time that the Voice of Pope Benedict XVI, here speaking and singing in Latin, Italian, Portuguese, French and German, will be heard on an album, thanks to the audio-recordings of Vatican Radio.
